Math for early childhood
One More-One Less Diwali Themed
Encourage the children to observe and count the vibrant marigold flowers blooming in the garden. Ask them to identify the marigold that lies in the middle of their count. Then, prompt them to write down the number of the flower that is one less than this middle flower, as well as the one that is one more. This activity will help them with counting and enhance their understanding of numerical relationships!
Number Recognition- Diwali Themed
Please take a moment to carefully count the total number of diyas you have. Once you have the correct count, write down this number clearly, along with its name in words (for example, if there are 2 diyas, you would write “2 – two"). Make sure your handwriting is legible and organized so that it can be easily understood.
Numbers on Diyas
Embrace the festive spirit of Diwali by engaging children in number recognition activities. As they admire the beautifully decorated diyas, encourage them to identify the numbers displayed on each one. This fun and interactive approach not only enhances their numerical skills but also deepens their appreciation for the intricate designs and cultural significance of these traditional lamps.
